This project consisted of a two storey side extension including the shop to the ground floor and a flat above with extensive  refurbishment to the existing property above and at the rear.  The difficulty with this contract was keeping the existing business trading throughout the whole project.  Attention to details was taken with matching the new to the existing shop front, even to the extent of one of our employees replicating the ceramic tiles to the decorative facade.  This later led Rowans to coming joint first in the East Hampshire District Council Conservation and Design Awards 2009.
